Kia ora Tonga,
ReplyDeleteThey look amazing muffins and look like they had a lot of chocolate in them. My children have been busy baking over the break as well making fudge and self saucing chocolate pudding. The chocolate pudding was really yummy.
Here is the recipe if you want to make it -
HALF HOUR CHOCOLATE STEAMED PUDDING.
1 cup flour,
2 tbsp Cocoa, 2 tsp cream of tartar, 1 tsp baking
soda, Milk to mix.
Sauce: 50 grams butter, 4 cup sugar, 4 cup brown sugar, 2 tsp golden
syrup, 1 small cup boiling water,
Mix the flour, cream of tartar, soda and cocoa together with milk.
Place in greased pudding basin. Pour over it the sauce mixture.
Steam for 1 hour with lid on saucepan, but no cover on basin.
How did you make the muffins, what was the recipe as my kids would love to make the recipe.
Nga mihi,
Mark

Hi Tonga,
DeleteThank you for sharing the recipe with us! I am looking forward to baking some with Arlia. I will let you know how we get on. We were having a problem with finding baking powder at the supermarket and have run out. But Chelsea Winter put on her Facebook page that you can use 2 parts of cream of tartar and 1 part baking powder to create your own baking powder. That might be good to know if you ever find it hard finding baking powder!
Keep up the amazing work Tonga!

Hi Tonga, your muffins look delicious. Banana and chocolate are a favourite for my family too.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering what other flavours you could use next time you bake muffins? Or Do you think you will make Mark’s chocolate steam pudding? I think it would be really yummy with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Happy Baking
From Angela
Hi Tonga,
ReplyDeleteLooks like you did a great job with the muffins! Did they taste as good as they look? I agree with Mark, what is the recipe? They would be great to make at home here as they are Arlia's favourite! Normally I buy banana chocolate muffins instead of baking them. I would love to give it a go! Please add in the recipe.
It is great to see you doing things around the home and helping the family. Keep up the great work! Mrs Wing
